| Exiting the runway you're
greeted by Transylvania's Corporate Hangar on the left and the Maintenance
Hangar on the right operated by Keith Ball's Smokey Mountain Flying Service.
Ramp space to the left of the taxiway is reserved for large aircraft such
as this Pilatus which is a regular visitor to Transylvania. You'll also find
parking there for maintenance service and overnight parking. To the right of this
taxiway is short-term transient parking in front of our modern and comfortable
FBO facility. Just a few yards beyond are two rows of spacious T hangars
for 30 aircraft and long-term tie-downs between the first row of hangars and
the runway.
The T hangars feature
easy rolling doors and plenty of adjacent ramp space for maneuvering your
aircraft. Future plans call for an additional two rows of hangars lined
up behind the existing two rows, with an additional taxiway to be built
at the east end of the buildings for an alternate access to the runway.
There is plenty of
room for as many as three aircraft at the fuel facility which is available
for credit card sales 7 days a week. Adjacent to the
fueling area is a wash facility featuring high-pressure water service from
our own well and pump system.
